Inlay
Inlay was inspired by the ancient craft of intarsia: the making of decorative and pictorial mosaics by the inlaying of precious and exotic materials into or onto solid wood. Inlay dates back over 3000 years ago to the ancient Egyptians who decorated much of their woodwork with inlay. In fact, in the tomb of the Pharaoh King Tutankhamon, many inlaid objects were found. Today, our furniture maestros continue to keep this precious art of inlay alive by creating handcrafted beautiful pieces of furniture with wood and ivory inlays.
